New Era, Canon 5d Mark III

Saturday.  It finally arrived.  I had a hard time waiting for the FedEx man until about 1 pm when he pulled up with my precious package.  I finally have the camera I have drooled over.  I have always stood by the fact that it isn't my camera that makes me the photographer.  It's not photoshop and it's not lightroom.  Those things help but it's really my view of the world.

My view of the world is often constrained to my apartment due to other commitments, keeping up with social media for my work and mundane household things.  So when I can take a few minutes my cats seem to be the subject that is easiest to work on, and they enjoy my adoration.  This is one of the very first pictures I have taken with the camera.  I have a tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 lens to complement the new gear.  It was with a sigh and some sadness that I retired my old camera.  One of the original rebel XTs, it has served me well for several years.  But now on to a new adventure.
