Just a few weeks ago I was asked to be the photographer for Leather Alley, a portion of the PRIDE festival in San Francisco. I was honored by the invitation and really enjoying interacting with both the staff and the crowd. There are some of my shots from the day.
Almost 3500 people came through our alley. It boggles the mind to think how many people must have been at PRIDE for the day. I lived in New Orleans and saw the crowds at Mardi Gras. PRIDE fest is even bigger. To me this picture really catches the heart of the festival.
It is not only a festival but a way to celebrate our unique commonality. Individuals come together to celebrate what some people take for granted and I was delighted to be a part of it.
